Story Narration Competition - Echoes of Tomorrow
KEF’s Story Narration Competition 2024-25: Echoes of Tomorrow is now open for registration. Open to students of regional schools in India and across the globe, this remarkable contest of communication skills, imaginative story portrayal and holistic learning boosts students’ storytelling abilities and creative expression.
A unique and innovative platform for students in Grades 5-8 to showcase their English oratory and performance skills, this fierce contest is part of One World One Stage from KEF’s Communicative English Future Readiness Project.
Lasting a minimum of three minutes and a maximum of four minutes, each action-packed presentation will engage audiences with original ideas, realistic props, light and sound effects, and fascinating characters in dramatic costumes. Exciting story themes and topics include World of Fantasy-Exploring the Unseen World for Grades 5 and 6, and World of Tomorrow–Exploring the World of 2050 for Grades 7 and 8.

Who is eligible to participate in Kotak Education Foundation’s Story Narration Competition 2024-25?

Will participants receive certificates or prizes for their participation?
Yes, all participants who clear the eligibility criteria will receive a digital certificate for their participation.
In which languages should the students submit their stories?
Students should submit their stories only in English.
What is the theme of the KEF Story Narration Competition?
Junior Category: Grades 5 and 6

How long should the story be?
The story should have a duration ranging from a minimum of 3 minutes to a maximum of 4 minutes.
Can students submit more than one story?
No, only one entry per student is allowed.
How many videos can one school submit?
One school can submit videos of 5 participants in Category 1, i.e. Grades 5 and 6 students, and videos of 5 participants in Category 2, i.e. Grades 7 and 8 students.
What are the judging criteria for the competition?
The narration will be judged on pronunciation, articulation, memorization, voice modulation, body language, confidence, and overall impact. Good audio and video quality are expected.
Who are the judges for the competition?
On request, details of the judging panel can be shared.
Is there a registration fee for participating in the competition?
No, there is no registration fee for the competition.
How can schools register their students for the competition?
Schools can participate by submitting a maximum of five videos per category (Junior - Grades 5 and 6 students, Senior - Grades 7 and 8 students) on the registration link.
What are the important dates for the competition?
Videos are to be submitted by 15th Dec 2024.
Results will be announced in January 2025.
(There will be 3 winners and 2 consolation prizes per category. All these winners will receive prizes. Schools will receive trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes.)
How will the stories be submitted?
Video of the story should be submitted by the school by completing the Google form. The Google form link is in the flyer/email sent to the schools.
Will the submitted videos be published or used for any other purpose?
A few of the videos will appear on the social media handles of Kotak Education Foundation.
Will winners be contacted individually before the public announcement?
Schools will be informed about the winners through mail before the public announcement.
What file formats are accepted for video submissions?
When uploading videos on the Google form, please ensure that the accepted file formats are limited to commonly used formats such as MP4, MOV, or AVI.
Can students use visual aids or background imagery in their video narrations?
Yes, students are allowed to use visual aids such as props, costumes, toys, background images, or instruments in their video narrations, although it is not compulsory.
